Day 209 ...Portents of a Peacock

8x10 oils
Did you know that the peacock is often used as a symbol of vision, spirituality, renewal and resurrection. Some early beliefs thought that gates of paradise were guarded by two peacocks. Early Christian paintings and mosaics often used the imagery of the peacock.

In whatever religion you practice of study, the peacock carries portents of: Nobility, Holiness, Guidance, Protection and Watchfulness. All things that we can find comfort in and aspire to imitate.

Peace,
Valerie
