Day 342

8 x 10 oils
COQUETTE
Sunday.

It is a beautiful day, sun, sky and leisure time with family on the deck. What makes today even better? My hubby is smoking pork for pulled pork sandwiches. We are looking forward to his special homemade sauce, coleslaw (made with splenda), and fresh green beans. YUM.  What more can a girl ask for?

Let's get back to the purpose of this blog, today's art.  The definition of the title: Coquette: a woman who flirts; a crested Central and South American hummingbird, typically with green plumage, a reddish crest, and elongated cheek feathers.  Interestingly, I did not make the connection until after the painting was finished. Who knew it was a hummingbird too? Not me.  I am labeling it  a deja vu moment.

Do you see the bird and the flirt?

Peace,

Valerie
